In just thirteen days, my beloved family and I will embark on a once in a lifetime, dream holiday to Europe and the UK. I
remember when I was counting down 300 or so days ago. Now I'm counting down two digits and soon enough it'll be single digit numbers. It has been more than a year since we booked and paid for our trip. We have been patiently waiting (or so we'd like to say), saving money, planning and researching, and have been non-stop excited for it. I swear I've high-fived my sister a hundred times just because, "i'm soooo excited." The beginning of each thought that is of Europe sends jolts down my spine and triggers a large enthusiastic smile across my face like no other. The thought of the Eiffel Tower and the Swiss Alps in 3D makes my heart leap for joy. It takes me question fantasy and reality, "is this the real life, is this just a fantasy?" Yes. That was gay. But I am such disbelief I cannot even comprehend.
I am so grateful and eternally thankful for my family and the opportunity they have given me. I will hold this trip dearly and close to heart. I will repay my parents in ten-fold although nothing will be able to equate with the gift of this experience as it is tantamount.
I will endeavour to document my trip through this blog so that I can later reminisce on my raw feelings and emotions, and all the amazing things I am undoubtedly bound to experience. I can't wait!
